Childcare

Childcare is the activity of taking care and looking after children from the age of 6 weeks to the age of 13-14. Childcare cost varies from state to state, for instance, studies shows that in more than half of the US states childcare annual expenses costs more than a public college tuition not to mention that in college you can have some sort of financial aid or a scholarship.

First of all, childcare centers gives the children some sort of social competence, they teach them on how to interact with others and they educate them on how they should behave around others. Moreover, hard working parents should have access to childcare facilities, because it can help them have a second job or maybe a full-time job and this will contribute to some savings for any kind of other expenses to support their families. In addition, the harder parents’ work the more they are likely to contribute to the economic growth, childcare shouldn’t be one of the reasons of why parents do not work. But if we look at it on the other side, if someone can’t afford taking care of a child they shouldn’t have one in the first place and moreover providing childcare by the government means everyone have to pay higher taxes and the way it is now taxes are already high enough

Finally, yes I think the government should provide childcare services free of charge for every working parent, they should help the people at work since the people working are playing a major role in the national economy, yet they should help the people in need and not people who will try to take advantage of such a situation, limits should be set and childcare should be provided to anyone who needs it.
